Dua Lipa + The Girl Group That Killed

So, you may or may not have seen a video floating around YouTube if you frequent it as much as I do.

One of my first posts was about Dua Lipa, and how much I enjoyed her song New Rules. Since then she’s literally taken over the music world with some more catchy songs, though none as popular as the former, and is literally touring ‘for the rest of her life’ as she put it in a BBC1 interview.

The Live Lounge at BBC Radio 1 is one of the best outlets for artists to cover a bunch of different songs, whether it be their own or another musicians, and they produce some of the best YouTube videos to binge watch when looking for some good music. They recently had Dua in to perform her recent single IDGAF, and the girl killed it.

However.

She brought along some other incredible musicians and formed a lil girl group that I went mad over considering it featured some incredible gals; Zara Larsson, MØ, Alma and Charli XCX. They didn’t take over the song or demand solos or shining moments, they purely sang back-up for Dua Lipa, which I think in itself is pretty cool. It just emphasises that they really weren’t there for publicity or to show themselves off, purely to support another strong female artist and back her up. Plus, the pictures from the set were really cute.

Like, do you not want to be them? Zara and Charli both put it really well on Instagram, both successfully capturing the feelings I got immediately when I watched the video and saw the pictures, and I’m sure a ton of young girls felt the same way.

Well anyway, instead of me rambling and talking about my emotions, just watch the video for yourself!

So much goodness in one video!

But that’s all from me for today, hopefully you enjoyed it as much as I did!

x
