Hello friends! Today I am back with the next instalment of my newest post, Very Specific, and today’s playlist vibe is indeed, very specific. So what do these songs all have in common today? Well they fit the following category:
Riding To School During The Opening Credits of A Teen Movie.
Surely I don’t need to elaborate on that? Surely everyone understands immediately what vibe and aesthetic I mean? Surely that’s as specific as you can get? Surely. I mean, there is definitely gonna be some variance in the music. Some of these are for those indie type films that thrive on acoustic indie bands and summer tones, while others fall directly into the stereotypical early-90’s teen movie. They will vary, but they will all fit.
Let’s get on with it.
Don’t Stop – 5 Seconds Of Summer
Fred Astaire – San Cisco
The Middle – Jimmy Eat World
What’s My Age Again – blink-182
The Anthem – Good Charlotte
Pleaser – Wallows
Same Same – Waax
1985 – Bowling For Soup
Buddy Holly – Weezer
101 – Walla
Absolutely (Story Of A Girl) -Nine Days
Stuck – The Aces
When Did Your Heart Go Missing – Rooney
There She Goes – The La’s
Chloe – Grouplove
Change My Mind – IV League
First Date – blink-182
Beach Bummer – No Vacation
So Yesterday – Hilary Duff
My Sharona – The Knack
Science Fiction – The Belligerents
Semi-Charmed Life – Third Eye Blind
So there you have it. Hopefully you got some Big Fat Liar/Princess Diaries/Malcolm In the Middle vibes! I’ve made this playlist mentally too many times to count, so it was heaps of fun searching for the songs and compiling them for you all! Let me know what you think.

Don’t Stop – big fat yes. Definitely very suited to this playlist! For some reason Good Charlotte have been popping up in my music ventures quite a bit recently, I think my favourite is probably Sex On The Radio…not for lyrical content though! (also going to check out Chloe by Grouplove…for musical purposes, of course) xx
