Spotify Wrapped: 2019

Hello hello!!

I’m sure you all expected this to be popping up on your Readers at one point or another, but I thought I’d drop in (I know, I’m shocked at my presence here as well), to share what I’m sure you’ve already heard all about, my 2019’s Spotify Wrapped.

I think this is the third year that I’m doing this post, if you’d like to check out how my music listening tastes have changed (or haven’t changed *ahem Jon Bellion*) in those three years, you can find the post for 2017 HERE and 2018 HERE.

However, we’re here to talk about Spotify Wrapped for 2019! As is the same since last year, Wrapped was everywhere. I didn’t see anything else for a solid two days since I was in a different time zone than usual when it dropped, and I genuinely loved seeing what people listened to. I also nearly teared up each time someone sent me a screenshot of their Wrapped that somehow managed to include some of my music in it as well.

I loved all the new stats and information they shared in this one, and considering it’s 2019, I was super impressed with the decade wrap up as well!

If you checked out your Spotify Wrapped – let me know!! I’d love to hear how yours panned out, what music you were listening to during the year and some of your impressive stats!

Honestly. Pretty spot on for my top artists, 2 through 5. Taking any guesses for my number one artist of the year???

I feel like I could definitely improve here! I sound like I’m marking my own homework, but next year one of my music listening goals is to really branch out geographically with what I listen to.

  1. Your Spotify wrapped is always the one I look forward to most !!! 40k+ listening minutes is…character development indeed. I also just noticed that our 2015 wrap was exactly the same…my top song was What A Feeling and my top artist was One Direction !! So weird! Also so great to see Ari in your top artists too – I feel like she made it onto a lot of people’s lists this year! xx

    • Thanks Chloe!! Omg another coincidence! And definitely, I think she just churned out so much good music this year that people were listening to her stuff whether they consciously meant to or not! Xx

  2. .. Do I see Casio by Jungle?! I FREAKING LOVE THAT SONG. I think that and “Cosurmyne” might be my two favourite songs of theirs. Also, I saw that you listened to 40000 minutes of music on Instagram and I was like whaaaAAAAAAAAt how and literally had to double-read it just to make sure I hadn’t misread. WOW. (And in comparison to your 2015 stats it’s even more impressive) And NO, we are not surprised that Jon Bellion is your artist of the decade. Honestly, anything else would have shocked / disappointed me. 😂 xx

    • They were honestly such a favourite this year, kicking myself I didn’t go and see them when they were in Melbourne! Considering music is constantly playing on my house and I’ve stopped listening to the radio in the car and use Bluetooth instead…makes sense, hahaha! Yeah look, no ones surprised at this point. We all could have predicated that haha xx
