Outer Banks // A Playlist

Hello friends!

Hope you’re all well and looking after yourselves.

Today’s post is another playlist, based on another Netflix original show, Outer Banks, which I began, binged and finished in one day.

This show is currently blowing up everywhere, whether it’s Instagram, Twitter or TikTok. I loved the show. It’s a little bit more than your typical teenage drama, mixed in with a treasure hunt, some class divides, a great cast and impeccable soundtrack. It was super refreshing to hear a wider range of music coming out of a Netflix original, and I think that was down to the genre of the film, it’s location in the Outer Banks and the storyline.

As per usual, I did spend a fair amount of time Shazaming songs that popped up in the background of the show, just because it really hit my sweet spot for reggae, blues and roots. Some amazing music was discovered while watching the show, and I reckon I’ll probably end up watching the show a second time sometime soon.

In fact, I actually ended up making a brand new playlist full of songs that fit the vibe of the show because I was sick of searching up songs separately. If you’d like to have a suss, you can listen to DUCK DIVE, which I’ll link below!

  1. Oh man, what a vibe! I’ve been listening to your playlist for over an hour at this point, and I’m absolutely loving it! I’ve always had a soft spot for reggae even though I don’t listen to it very often, so this playlist was pretty much what I needed without knowing I needed it!

    • Thanks Arshia! Reggae has always been a soft spot of mine just cos I grew up listening to it, and the mix of blues and roots that’s in this show just hits different for me haha – glad you’re enjoying the playlist gal! x
