Today’s post is one I haven’t done in a hot minute, but it’s a very specific playlist, a playlist of songs that are perfect for listening to by yourself on a late night drive.
I don’t know why, but the last few weeks I’ve found myself driving back home by myself, late at night, whether it’s coming home from a concert, after a particularly late netball game or after dropping a friend home. That too, winter’s well and truly here, meaning it’s getting darker by 5:30 every day.
A situation that would have used to make me pretty nervous, I now find it super relaxing, and it’s one of the most calming things I find myself doing. Trust me, it’s great. I sound like I’m straight out of a YA novel, but there’s this road that I’m constantly driving down, and it’s super long and open, a couple of turns here and there, but it’s so satisfying driving that road late at night.
So with all of that rambling, here’s a very specific playlist, one for driving home by yourself, late at night.
I really loved creating this playlist, maybe cos of how deep in this mood I am??? Late night drives are not celebrated enough outside of Tumblr. Therapeutic, I tell you. Let me know if you listen to any of these songs!
Hello everyone! Hope you’ve all been well. Welcome back to another very specific post, one of my favourites to share with you all!
I finally got my license this year, meaning I’m able to drive on my own now, and one of the things I’ve done once and once only, yet am still exciting to do more of, is driving to the beach to just park and listen to music. It sounds way deeper than it is, but it was a fantastic hour of my life.
By all means, maybe don’t play it though your car the whole time, like watch out for the battery, but if you find yourself with a moment at the beach, here’s a playlist of songs, specifically made to listen to in your car on the beach.
Skeletons – Yeah Yeah Yeah Water On The Bridge – Chelsea Cutler Home – Dotan One More Time – Jon Bellion Watch – billie eilish Sincerity Is Scary – The 1975 Smoke Too Much – JOY. Hope you are well and doing good, welcome back to another blog post where I try and be relate-able, only somewhat succeeding.
Today’s post is another very specific post. I love making and curating these posts, you guys seem to be a fan of them, so hopefully we all get something out of this. I’m all about listening to sad songs when you’re already sad to just…enhance the sad, because surely that’s something we all do, but sometimes you don’t have time and need to pep up real quick. For example, having a small mental breakdown about a university deadline that you knew about for weeks, crying a lil bit, but realising that you don’t actually have time to cry and need to get work done.
I definitely have found myself in that situation several times this year, so I’m probably your best source for pepping yourself up through some good tunes.
So this playlist is a playlist of songs to cheer you up.
There you go! Hopefully you had a listen to some of those song, hopefully you felt a bit better if you weren’t already feeling great, and hopefully you’ve got some more songs to add to your artillery if you’re ever feeling down.
I haven’t done one of these posts in a hot minute, and like I said in my last post, I’m working on a post at the moment that requires a couple days work, so in the meantime I thought I’d share another very specific playlist with you all!
This selection of music is one of my favourites so far. It isn’t as intense as car chases or post apocalyptic worlds, but it’s equally as powerful, and it’s a selection made for listening to while looking out the window.
I find them twice as effective if it’s raining or it’s very early in the morning and you’re probably the only one on Earth awake.
These are some of my personal favourites, hope you enjoy some of them!
The Night We Met – Lord Huron His Eye On The Sparrow – Tanya Blount, Lauryn Hill Little Wonders – Rob Thomas Army – Ellie Goulding Nylon – Kllo Red Dust – James Vincent McMorrow Oceans (Where Feet May Fail) – Hillsong United My Happiness – Powderfinger Blinded By Your Grace, Pt. 1 – Stormzy From Eden – Hozier Too Much Ask – Niall Horan In Dreams – Ben Howard The Worst – Jhene Aiko Love On The Brain – Rihanna Runaway – AURORA Don’t Know Why – Norah Jones INTERMISSION: fLoWer – ZAYN Reeling – Corey Harper Sorry – Aquilo Bella – Angus & Julia Stone
